The Centre for Applied Leadership Excellence aims to advance leadership in the Southern African and African region. We aim to provide leadership research, development, and training to the benefit of organisations of all kinds.

Leadership is critical to the future of the region, whether in corporates, government, communities, NGOs, or even schools. However, South Africa and Africa needs homegrown approaches to the challenges of leadership and has a rich and varied heritage to draw from.

CALE's vision is to become a centre of excellence in applied leadership for Southern Africa and Africa. This means developing leaders who know how to lead more than just knowing about leadership. CALE promotes ethical and values based leadership, which means leadership that creates positive outcomes at the individual, community, national, social, economic and environmental levels.
