The Centre for Applied Leadership Excellence aims to advance leadership in the Southern African and African region. We aim to provide leadership research, development, and training to the benefit of organisations of all kinds. CALE is a nonprofit educational organisation.
Leadership is critical to the future of the region, whether in corporates, government, communities, NGOs, or even schools. However, South Africa and Africa needs homegrown approaches to the challenges of leadership and has a rich and varied heritage to draw from.
CALE's vision is to become a centre of excellence in applied leadership for Southern Africa and Africa. This means developing leaders who know how to lead more than just knowing about leadership. CALE promotes ethical and values based leadership, which means leadership that creates positive outcomes at the individual, community, national, social, economic and environmental levels.
We invite you to join with the CALE team in creating a nation of great leaders. Please enjoy exploring our site and do not hesitate to contact us to find out more about training programmes and services...
CALE’s purchases new training centre
CALE has outgrown its previous home and has moved to a larger and more suitable premises in Pine Park (Jhb) off
1st Avenue. Our new home will boast a large training facility and expanded offices for coaching and administration. In addition, this centre will provide space for us to expand our services, including update seminars for our Alumni. We’re busy knocking down and altering and hope to be ready later this year to welcome clients and friends to a place that we hope will be sanctuary of learning for South Africa's leaders.
Partnership with Childline
CALE is primarily an organisation of excellence for leadership that operates on a non-profit basis. Beyond our cause of advancing leadership, we also aim to invest in South African communities by sponsoring leadership and related training and consulting to non-profit organisations. For the next period CALE will be working with Childline, especially in Gauteng, to provide much needed training courses for Childline and a few other non-profits.
